[update]
The service just started working again on it’s own. SO it must have been an issue at Microsoft’s end.
Ran into an issue today after updating my imac. OneDrive was no longer synching.
Worse than that the application appeared to be hang. Hovering the mouse over the OneDrive icon in the notification area would just show the infamous spinning color wheel.
Right-clicking would NOT bring up the menu – basically the App was hung. But what I also noticed (as I tried to Google Bing the issue) was that my keyboard was unresponsive too! A force-quit of the app would bring everything back to life, including my keyboard.
Of course I tried uninstalling the App and re-installing, but the same thing kept happening.
Out of desperation, I uninstalled the app, renamed the folder and re-installed. This looked promising !
so I got to setup OneDrive again and choose a new folder.
It started synching and I thought I was good….but after a few minutes it hung again the behaviour returned. Darn !
As of right now I haven’t found a solution. But I did find others with this problem:

and

So Microsoft appears to be aware of the issue and is working on a fix.
I’ll update this post when I find the fix, in the meantime all you OS X users will need to use the web version of OneDrive.
Good Luck !
